Many people know Fat Rat Da Czar and Shekeese Tha Beast from being on the South Carolina scene for a minute. I met Shekeese over 10 years ago and probably longer than that through people I knew. Last May they dropped a mixtape title “Da Cold War 2: Da Day Afta”. Whether it’s “Da” or “Tha” their track “Music On Da Radio” is one of the better cuts on the album.

Neff “4 Tha Hood”

They say hip hop was made by man. We say hip hop was made by a handful of street poets. Warriors willing to speak about what they see and fight for what seems to be a forgotten word: HONOR!

Influenced by the gutters of Anaheim, CA (also known as Anacrime) to the dirty streets of the Carolinas emerges Neff. Neff derives from a biblical name, Naphtali, which means one who struggles and fights until his end. That’s what Neff has been doing since his birth. He has developed the essentials required to be a respected emcee and posses the wizardry to express his rhymes in Spanglish (mixture between Spanish & English).

Neff’s unremarkable talent has been noticed by many major recording labels such as: Capitol Records, Jive Records, Koch Records, Atlantic Records, Murder Inc., HeadHunter Records, Def Jam South, Grand Hustle, Universal and of course Grammy Award Winning Producer, 9th Wonder.

Neff was recently nominated for ‘Slept-On Artist of the Year’ for the SMES Awards 2009. HIs records extend all the way to Germany. Neff has accomplished to be the FIRST Carolina Artist, 3x’s 1 in the Top 10 on Germany’s Royal Radio. Indeed, he is rap’s contender and a player to watch for in 2009.
